We can help you understand where to start.
Beacon of Hope can bill certain insurance plans for eligible in-office services. Coverage depends on your specific plan, deductible, copay, authorization requirements, and current network status.
Please verify benefits directly with your insurance company before your first appointment. Insurance participation and plan rules can change.
Questions to ask your insurance company
- Does my plan include outpatient mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible, and how much of it has been met?
- What is my copay or coinsurance for psychotherapy?
- Is there a limit on the number of sessions per year?
- Do I need prior authorization or a referral?

Telehealth / distance sessions
Self-pay may apply for distance services.
For distance sessions, follow the same basic getting-started process: create your portal account, complete paperwork, schedule, pay the $30 deposit, and attend your appointment in the agreed-upon format.

Complete paperwork
Fill out intake forms and provide the information needed before your visit.
Schedule & pay deposit
Select your appointment and pay the $30 session deposit.
Attend your session
Join your session in the agreed-upon format and location.
Location matters for telehealth. Services depend on where the client is physically located at the time of the appointment and on applicable licensing requirements.
Cancellation policy
Cancel before the reminder to avoid the fee.
Before the reminder
No cancellation fee. If you paid a distance-session deposit, it will be refunded in full.
After the reminder
A $30 cancellation fee applies. If you already paid a distance-session deposit, that deposit is not refunded.
